Students in the lab supported by NEST and ICFON

With the financial support from ICFON ( International Council for Friends of Nepal, the Netherlands), NEST assisted the  initiative of Janapriya Technical School to run Junior Technician in Agriculture and Veterinary courses for youths  in Hatiya VDC of Makwanpur district  by contributing financially to  establish a laboratory with modern scientific equipments and teaching materials. As a result, the students of Janapriya have had excellent results in the examination. The school’s outreach programme has benefited farmers from local communities.

Hostel for Janapriya Technical School

Many students from the Terai and neighbouring districts come to study JTA course in the school. Therefore, NEST with the financial support from ICFON, supported the school to build hostel for students and teachers last year.

NEST has granted scholarship for 37 students since 2004 under INVEST.
