3 April 2011 No Comment

Yvonne Rijnders, 25 , from the Netherlands  spent two weeks volunteering   in  Janapriya Technical School from 21th of March until the beginning of April.  Janapriya School was supported  with lab equipments and teaching learning materials  by NEST and ICFON five years ago.  ICFON also provided financial support  to Janapriya School through NEST to construct a hostel for students  who are from other communities.

While volunteering with NEST, Yvonne worked with teachers and students of Janapriya School  and shared her experience from Europe to improve the quality of teaching and learning  in the school. She also donated some books  to the school.

Yvonne  is a graduate from Wageningen University.  Before she  left for trekking ,  Yvonne said ” It has been fantastic and I have many ideas that I wish to work on later on. I am very grateful for the experience and to get to know such nice people”.

If you also want to make a positive contribution while you are travelling to  Nepal , please contact info@nestworld.org  for further information.
